Posted on , by Nick Preston
Aston Martin have released a flood of new images and videos for their upcoming DBS replacement, the 2014 Aston Martin Vanquish.
The new Vanquish will make an appearance in 2014 with a price tag of around $279,000. For that sum you get a stylish GT coupe with supercar performance, complete carbon fiber body and bespoke interior that only a few of the world’s car brands are capable of matching.
As you can see the exterior is mostly new, but underneath is a modified version of Aston Martin’s existing VH platform 6.0-litre V12 engine. Peak output is rated at around 565 bhp with 457 lb-ft of torque, with power being delivered to the rear wheels by a Techtronic 2 six-speed automatic with paddle shifters. There has been no mention of a manual or dual-clutch unit planned for this car.
Aston Martin promises acceleration times of just 4.1 seconds for 0-60 mph with a top speed of 183 mph.
The design team behind this car have also managed to increase the trunk space by an impressive 60 percent compared to the DBS, making it more practical for every day use. As a buyer you are also offered a choice of 2 or 2+2 seating configurations.
