VW Festival 2012
Posted on , by Nick Preston
The most fun and chilled out show of the year makes a welcome reappearance for 2012. It can only be VW Festival!
I can remember the last VW Festival like it was yesterday and it was easily the most enjoyable car show i had ever attended, and this years didn’t disappoint either.
The theme for this year was “The Beach”, so if you see lots of beach related stuff in the photos you know why
We arrived at Harewood House around 1pm, would of got there sooner had the traffic not been ridiculous.
Check out this little beauty that was sat just opposite from our camp site.
We had a 15 car stand at VW Festival this year with a decent variety of VAG cars.
Check out Ben’s awesome TopMotors beach themed boot display!
Stu on bacon butty duty, cracking butty’s!
Lots of polishing going on.
The show and shine this year was pretty damn impressive with plenty of stunning cars on display.
Check out this Audi A4 S-Line on air ride, the interior was gorgeous, i want it!!
Paul Foster’s Mk1 Golf certainly got some attention, well deserved as its awesome.
Marc’s VW Beetle…phwoar!
Now its time for what most people (including myself) considered the car of the show, an immaculate Mk1 Golf with an R32 Engine which won the Water Cooled Show and Shine Competition.
This VW Beetle was cordoned off at the show, not because its special, but because apparently the fuel pipes had buckled resulting in a large fuel leak, this could of been a disaster had someone been smoking nearby but thankfully the VW Festival staff managed to fix it.
Andrew “Tank” Mcguiness has been working hard to get his Mk2 Golf ready for VW Festival and it looks like the hard work payed off, stunning car.
Must get my nephew one of these!
VW Festival is a show for all the family and id recommend it to anyone. See you next year Harewood House!
