Posted on , by Nick Preston
Despite the problems at Lotus such as the CEO Dany Bahar recently being sacked, owners DRB-Hicom revising their product plans, and even some speculation regarding a potential buyout by Volkswagen; the first Exige S production car rolled off the assembly line yesterday.
The Exige S was first unveiled at the 2011 Frankfurt Auto Show, it’s a 2,380-pound performance focused 345bhp supercharged monster. Using the same forced-induction V6 from the Evora S.
The Exige S weighs in at 200 pounds more than its four-cylinder variant, the standard supercharged Exige.
Despite this weight increase, the Exige S promises performance.
