X Games RallyCross Practice Put On Hold After Heikkinen Accident

Posted on , by

Practice for the RallyCross part of X Games Los Angeles began on Friday. This practice session was held to acquaint drivers with the 50-foot double-ramped open jump which is adject to their garage area to ensure that all would feel comfortable for Saturday practice and Sunday’s races.

It was all going smoothly with only a few nose-hits on the landing ramp, that was until Finn Toomas Heikkinen, 21, got it all wrong in his Ford Fiesta. He was driving too slow on the initial approach, and landed short, smashing the front end of the Fiesta into the ramp.
