Modified Live At Cadwell Park
Posted on , by Huw Fletcher
Arriving at a wet and slightly muddy cadwell park for the season opener of Modified live and Time Attack left me feeling slightly apprehensive for the day ahead. The Modified Live show gives you a chance to see show cars, time attack cars, drift cars and this year public track time (at some events).
I’m personally enjoying the Time Attack event the most and will be following this closely this year.

As well as the track action there’s the show and shine sponsered by Kleers. The best modified and show cars from around the UK turn up and compete for various trophies including the prestigious title of “Car Of The Show”. This brought a wide variety of cars to the show including a very retro rally spec MK2 Escort, a 300+ BHP Fiesta ST (which claimed car of the show), a couple of BMW’s and a rieger kitted Escort Cabriolet.

As well as the show and shine there were rescue demonstrations from the Lincolnshire road safety partnership including an appearance from the air ambulance.

The competition for the Time Attack was fierce as ever with entrant cars including mini’s, an alfa romeo, subrau’s, mitsubishi evo’s and a seat leon. Time Attack is fantastic as the cars aren’t racing on the track just competing for the fastest time in their class.

You can certainly enjoy a great variety at the modified live events and while Cadwell may not have been the best one I have attended so far it’s certainly worth checking out their schedule for 2012 and popping down to Cadwell if your local for next year’s event.
