Poorboy’s Wheel Sealant Review
Posted on , by Nick Preston
After purchasing my new Genuine 19×8.5″ BBS LM wheels last week, i wanted to ensure that the alloy is protected against any type of corrosion and ofcourse brake dust.
There are quite a few products on the market that protect your alloys but after many recommendations i decided to give Poorboy’s Wheel Sealant a try as it’s also one of the cheapest.
Here is my review of the product.
I purchased the Poorboy’s Wheel Sealant from my local auto store for £14.99, and had a bottle of Greased Lightning Showroom Shine ready to clean the alloys before application.

and after a quick clean with Showroom Shine.

I recommend you clean one wheel with something like Showroom Shine and then apply a decent layer of Poorboy’s Wheel Sealant and then move onto the next wheel and clean it, once finished cleaning move back to previous wheel and wipe off the wheel sealant as it should have dried properly.

Make sure you apply a decent layer of the wheel sealant.

and a bit of half and half after cleaning, lovely shine.

Not the easiest wheels to clean but it wipes off easily and leaves a great shine.

It’s been nearly a week since i last used this Poorboy’s product and my alloys have remained a lot cleaner than usual and i have been doing a lot of driving.
I recommend you reapply the wheel sealant every 2-3 weeks to prolong the life of your wheels.
It’s a great product and cheap too as the name suggests, and if i use it on my expensive genuine BBS LMs then im sure you’ll feel comfortable using it on yours!
