Elsecar Mega Meet 2012
Posted on , by Nick Preston
It’s that time of the year again which can only mean one thing, the Elsecar Mega Meet!
We set off from Scarborough at 9:30am on route to the Elsecar Heritage Centre. The weather was crap to say the least but we we were hoping that it would brighten up as the day progressed, how wrong were we! lol
The Elsecar Mega Meet is one of the longest running indoor and outdoor VW / Audi / Skoda / Seat shows around with popular attendance as always.
However, we were a little dissapointed with the show this year and felt that the £8 entry fee wasn’t justified with the standard of cars on show, as only 60% were what we consider “show quality”.
Here are some of my favourite photos from the day.
This white Mk1 Golf stood out to me whilst snapping my photographs, im not keen on the wheels, bonnet bra or number plate but strangely enough…i think that’s why i like it!
David Whitwood’s Mk5 Golf GTI on Image Alloys looked phenomenal, i usually find silver quite a boring colour when it comes to cars but we all loved this.
Cheeky shot of these lovely fifteen52 alloys on a Mk1 Golf, really suited the car.
Here are some more photos from today…
