We set off from Scarborough on Saturday for a 4hour+ trek to Ultimate Dubs 2012 at the Telford International Centre. This would be the first UD show i had been to, however El, Iain and Phil have been several times before and recommended it highly.

A little info on Ultimate Dubs…

Ultimate Dubs is the UK’s largest Indoor VAG enthusiast’s event, which each year brings together the Ultimate VW, Audi, Seat & Skoda Show Cars from all over Europe, all under one roof at the Telford International Centre, UK (Nr. Birmingham) on Sunday 11th March 2012. The show is supported by Local, National and European advertising to bring together the best show cars, clubs and associated companies for the enthusiast to enjoy. With thousands of visitors from across the UK, Europe and beyond.

I didn’t bring my R32 this time as it needs a bit of work before i consider it show standard. So, i tagged a lift in Iain’s Mk4 Estate, he was rushing to get this ready in time for UD as hes only just fitted his air setup and he was also appearing on the UK-MKIVs outside stand.

We stayed in a hotel on the Saturday night, then me and Iain set off at 7:30am on the Sunday to ensure he got to the UK-MKIVs stand on time.

After giving the Mk4 Estate a quick clean with Greased Lightning Showroom Shine we went for a well needed cuppa and began snapping.

Taking photographs outside was fine, inside however was a little bit trickier due to the showroom lighting. Nevermind, that’s what editing is for!

Ultimate Dubs 2012 Photos

The quality of cars on show were second to none but unfortunately there were quite a few that were brought on trailers. Anyone can clean up a car to show standard and bring it on a trailer, it’s much harder running a show car as your daily (like i do).

I will definitely be attending the show again next year and i would recommend it to anyone. I just hope my R32 will be on air by then!
