We announced that Ferrari were releasing the F12 Berlinetta a few weeks ago, but they have now officially unveiled this car at the 2012 Geneva Motor Show.

Ferrari F12 Berlinetta 2012 Geneva Motor Show Debut
As we said in our previous post, the F12 Berlinetta is equipped with a 6.3-litre V12 engine, which produces 729bhp at 8,500rpm and 508lb-ft of torque at just 6,000rpm. This car will do 0-60mph in a mind boggling 3.1 seconds and 0-124mph in just 8.5 seconds, topping out at 211mph.

The engine alone is claimed as a masterpiece, delivering unrivalled performance and revs for a naturally aspiriated 12-cylinder. A massive 80% of the F12 Berlinetta’s torque is available at at just 2,500rpm!

This is the fastest road car Ferrari has ever produced and it’s already completed a lap time of 1:23 at the Fiorano race circuit, that’s faster than any other Ferrari.

The striking shape of the Berlinetta is not just for looks, it creates up to 271 pounds of downforce at 124 mph. This downforce is produced by the Aero Bridge which uses the hood to generate downforce by channeling air away from the upper part of the car to its flanks where it interacts with the wake from the wheel wells to decrease drag.
