By using information of over 2000 claims, the company Swift Cover have released data of the most commonly vandalised cars in the UK and most suprising is the Lexus IS Saloon that came up top as being the most vandalised car in Britain.

The Lexus was closely followed by the BMW Z4 and Mini One.

“Our analysis shows that luxury cars are more likely to be targeted by vandals, however, it’s interesting to see the MINI One in the top three,” said Robin Reames, claims director at insurer swiftcover.com. “The majority of vehicles in the top ten are what we call ‘executive cars’, likely to be driven by high earners who see their car as a status symbol, with just one 4×4 making up the top ten.”

BMW cars appear quite a lot in this Top 10 list but suprisingly the Skoda Octavia has also made an appearance!

This data released by Swift Cover is related to vandalism and malicious damage on vehicles insured by the company in 2010. The figures have been slightly adjusted to take into account the number of cars on the road whilst any car with less than 10 instances of vandalism were removed.
